Biography

Stephan Lammel is an experimental particle physicist. He worked on b-quark identification, top quark physics, from search to discovery and precision measurements, and is currently engaged in searches for an extension of space-time symmetry. His research is performed at the highest energy particle colliders, initially at the CERN SppS, then the Fermilab Tevatron, and now with the Compact Muon Solenoid, CMS, experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, LHC, in Geneva, Switzerland.

Stephan Lammel initiated the supersymmetry search program of the Collider Detector at Fermilab, CDF, experiment in the 1990s. He led the collaboration several times in searches for new particles and phenomena beyond the Standard Model until the Tevatron shutdown in 2011. Stephan Lammel has lectured about experimental particle physics, supervised students, served on review committees, and organized workshops and conference sessions on physics and computing topics.

In his current research he is probing a light Higgsino scenario in nature.
