Biography

I have been a member of the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC proton-proton collider since 2002. Currently, I serve as co-convener of the Software and Computing Upgrade and R&D group. My physics interests include searches for new physics within the framework of Supersymmetric (SUSY) and exotic theoretical models. In particular, our team at the Fermilab’s LHC Physics Center performs gluino and direct stop production searches in hadronic channels, as well as dark matter searches with semi-visible jets in the final state. In the past, I served as convener of the CMS simulation, JetMET, and Hadronic SUSY groups.

At Fermilab, I am the head of the Artificial Intelligence and Software for Physics Applications (AISP) department in the Scientific Computing Division (SCD), which includes physics generation, detector simulation and reconstruction, with emphasis on emerging computing technologies and associated R&D. I also co-lead the SCD-CMS department within the Particle Physics Division.
