Research Interests:
Seeking to discover new particles and interactions, while improving our Standard Model.
I am currently searching for pair produced scaler top quarks decaying to top quarks, jets, and low missing transverse energy, interpreted in models of stealth and R-parity violating supersymmetry. I am also interested in, and have previously searched for, exotic states such as color-octet weak-triplet scalar particles, vector leptoquarks, and multiply charged Higgs.
I also maintain an interest in the exploration of matter-antimatter asymmetry through branching fraction and associated CP-asymmetry measurements in the B meson system.
Operations: Resource Management for the U.S. CMS Operations Program; Understanding and improving efficiencies in operations, Web Based Monitoring tools, and Remote Operations.
Detectors: Electronics burn-in and testing, tracking of components and test results, software for testing and developing triggers, upgrading triggers for higher luminosities by incorporating additional information, test stands for understanding detector problems.
Other interests: Education and outreach.
